Land of the Giants was an hour long science fiction televison program that aired for two seasons begining on September 22, 1968 and ending on March 22, 1970. There was a total of 51 episodes made.

In the year 1983 a space tourism vehicle named the Spindrift was traveling from Los Angeles to London via Earth's orbit. During the travel the Spindrift encounters a strange space storm and is transported to a mysterious planet where everything is twelve times larger than its counterpart on Earth. The Spindrift crashes on the surface of this planet and the ship becomes inoperable.
