Summary[]
Tony Newman and Doug Phillips are flung out of the time vortex once more, but this time Doug is injured on arrival, hitting his head on a rock. Trying to recover, he is set upon by a Mexican soldier and in the scuffle his head hit injured again.
The time travelers manage to make it to the nearby fort and are ushered inside. It is then that they discover they are in the Alamo, right before the final battle where everyone at the fort will be massacred within several hours.
Phillips and Newman have learned enough now that they know they cannot interfere with established history, no matter ho much they may want to. However, Tony tries to convince Colonel Travis to evacuate the women and the wounded. Unfortunately, this makes Travis think Tony and Doug must be spies or agitators sent by the Mexicans and orders them arrested.
There is a brief scuffle and Doug is injured for a third time. As he and Tony are locked up in the grain store, it becomes clear that Doug needs medical attention. However, the fort surgeon is dead and there is no other doctor to look after the injured. It is up to Tony not only to escape, but to return with a doctor to save his friend's life.
Meanwhile the crew at Project Tic-Toc is having trouble finding accurate information in regards to the layout of the Alamo in order to try to move Phillips and Newman away from the area before the final battle commences.
